Chambord 25 km
The châteaux, from our door
Seven destinations, from eleven to fifty-eight kilometres.
We are more or less in the middle. Chambord on one side, Orléans on the other, and Beaugency under your feet.
Where we are
Beaugency sits on the Loire, between Orléans and Blois. The châteaux spread out on either side, and none of them is more than an hour away.

What it changes to sleep here
A small town costs less than a préfecture, and you can park in it. You leave the car in our courtyard on the first evening and you only take it out again to drive to a château. The rest of Beaugency is on foot.
And you do not repack: a day at Chambord, a day at Orléans, two opposite directions, one hotel.
On your return, the pool is open until 9.30pm from June to September, and the bar until 10.30pm all year.
